Unit 6 · Finding your way

Does the hotel have a pool?

Capitals mark the emphatic letters, 3 is ع and 7 is ح, and ' is the glottal stop that Cairo uses for q.

feeh also means "in it", which gives a neat way to ask what a place has: el-fondo' feeh 7ammaam sibaa7a? "does the hotel have a pool?" The short answer changes with the gender of the place. For a masculine one like el-fondo': feeh, or no, mafeehoosh. For a feminine one like el-kafiterya: feeha, or no, mafeehaash.
