Unit 4 · How much is it?

Two of something: -een

Capitals mark the emphatic letters, 3 is ع and 7 is ح, and ' is the glottal stop that Cairo uses for q.

For two of something, add -een and skip the number: kees (bag) gives keeseen (two bags), kitaab gives kitaabeen. Feminine nouns keep their t: 3ilba gives 3ilbiteen (two boxes), saa3a gives sa3teen (two hours). dool points at them: dool keeseen, "these are two bags".
